Hello, my darlings, I’ve been back for a few days now, and I thought it was time to finally update you on my vacation in Italy. It’s been so so amazing that while I was there I just wanted to focus on enjoying my time. Therefore I will start posting everything about my vacation now, looking back. We ended our vacation in Florence, and this is definitely a city to fall in love with. After I went for the first time with my friends I knew I had to come back to share this city with my family. While I was there I wanted to give my family the best experience, so I was constantly very busy finding the best places to eat, drink and shop. I’ve eaten the most amazing food while being in Florence, you can eat amazingly, often also for a very affordable price.

I thought I would share my best experiences with you, because I know I love good recommendations when going somewhere. Some of these places were recommended to me on one of my podcast Facebook groups, some I found on TripAdvisor and some I just happened to stumbled upon.

The Way is Tea 2

The first place I will recommend to you is this amazing tea place called The Way is Tea. There are three in Florence and we visited the second one. One day we all had to drink so bad, and I went ahead to find us a good place. I just happened to stumble upon this tea place and it was exactly what we needed. They had amazing, refreshing iced teas, but also tea with chocolate for example. Aside from this, it is also just the cutest place.

Via della Condotta, 26/r, 50122 Firenze

La Rinascente Firenze

This is a very accessible rooftop on the top of a warehouse in Florence. You’re paying for the view as well, obviously, but that view happens to be stunning. You can see the Duomo while enjoying a nice lemonade.

Piazza della Repubblica, 4, 50123 Firenze

Osteria Buongustai

Sooo authenticly Italian. This place was recommended to me and is probably in all the tourist books. You can have breakfast and lunch here. We shared a table with two other people, but it was totally worth it. Ate the best chocolate cake EVER here.

Via dei Cerchi, 15/R, 50122 Firenze

Kome Florence

The first night in Florence we all really wanted to eat sushi, which might sound strange because you’re in Italy but cravings are cravings you know. This was so cool because it was one of the restaurants were the sushi is served on plates that go around on an assembly line. I loved it, the sushi was great, and the experience was overall super fun.

Via dei Benci, 41, 50122 Firenze

Fishing Lab Alle Murate

This is the BEST restaurant. The BEST food. I just happened to see this restaurant, checked it out online, people seemed to like it, so we went. It exceeded all my expectations. You could choose little fish tapas bites and you could also get a bigger portion of fish. It all tasted amazing, the restaurant looked great, and we had the best night.

Via del Proconsolo, 16r, 50122 Firenze

All’Antico Vinaio

Best sandwiches in Florence. A lot of celebrities went here (CakeBoss, remember him?). A couple of choices. You get a very big sandwich for 5 euros, which will fill you up for the rest of the day.

Via dei Neri, 74/R, 50100 Firenze

Pizza Napoli 1955

Doesn’t look that cozy, but the pizza is beyond delicious. Thin bottom, thick crust, and just overall super tasty. Very highly recommended by trip advisor, and definitely did not disappoint.

Via dei Neri, 73/R, 50122 Firenze

Migone Confetti

Super cute candy store, with the sweetest little candy bags. Super expensive, but great for a souvenir.

Via dei Calzaiuoli, 85R, 50123 Firenze

I got Brandy Melville vibes from this store, but with a bit more of a size range. Highly recommend if you have a style similar to mine.

Via dei Neri, 43, 50122 Firenze

Yohurt & Co

There is obviously amazing icecream everywhere in Florence, but we found this gem where you could eat frozen yogurt. Thijs mentioned that he missed frozen yogurt so I tried to find a place in Florence, and oh was it good. You can have frozen yogurt with various toppings, but also waffles and Nutella crepes.

Via dei Tosinghi, 5/r, 50123 Firenze
